Abstract
Bugzilla is a 20 year old perl application. Up until this year, it was pretty much stuck as running as CGI or under mod_perl. There's been experimental support for running it under PSGI-CGI Emulation, but that hasn't made it to a release.
Because of many factors, it was decided to "port" it to Mojolicious. In the short term this still implies emulating CGI, but it leads to a clear path of refactoring the different parts as mojolicious controllers.
More importantly, Mojolicious gives us new super powers.
